Attorney Hubert R. Brown is a civil trial lawyer and founding
partner of Brown and
Brown Attorneys at Law, P.A. He is licensed to
practice law in both Florida and Texas. As Vice President
and Treasurer of Brown and Brown Attorneys at Law, P.A., he
shares responsibility for the operation and management of
the law firm’s day to day operations. Mr. Brown
concentrates his practice in Personal Injury and Wrongful
Death, Negligent Security, Strong Medical Malpractice, Vioxx
claims and Eminent Domain. Mr. Brown has extensive trial
experience in personal injury cases, and has been
instrumental in securing a number of recoveries in excess of
a million dollars. Mr. Brown has also successfully tried
personal injury and wrongful death cases, medical
malpractice cases, tax court cases and felony criminal
cases.
Attorney Hubert R. Brown, a member of the
Florida Bar and the Texas Bar, is active in the Leon County
area, taking Pro Bono cases and having served as past
Treasurer and Board Member of the Capital City Chamber of
Commerce. He is concerned with serving the local community.
Mr. Brown also is an active member and participant in the
Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. Attorney Brown has
received many honors and accolades such as serving on the
National Association of Black Accountants, Past
Sergeant-At-Arms, Toastmasters of Las Colinas, the Treasure
of the Corporate Counsel Society. Mr. Brown has also been
honored to serve as the Public Relations Chairman of the
Thurgood Marshall Legal Society and as a member of the Board
of Advocates.
Mr. Brown, a native of Vernon, Florida, was
educated in the public school system of Washington County,
Florida. He received his B.S. in Accounting, from Florida A
& M University, Magna Cum Laude, in 1985. After graduation,
Mr. Brown was employed by Price Waterhouse & Company in
Dallas, Texas for two years as a Staff Accountant. Mr.
Brown furthered his financial experience as the In-Charge
Auditor at The Associates Corporation of North America, in
Dallas, Texas from 1987 thru 1990. Mr. Brown was a managing
partner and founder of Brown & Brown, CPA’s in Austin, Texas
from 1990 thru 1993.
Mr. Brown received his J.D., Juris Doctorate,
from the University of Texas, School of Law, in 1993. He
also served as a Law Clerk for the Exxon Company in Houston,
Texas; for the Attorney General’s Office – State of Texas,
Austin and for Hopping, Boyd, Green & Sams in Tallahassee,
Florida while attending law school.
Mr. Brown and Gina his wife of eighteen years
have raised their two sons in Tallahassee, Florida. Mr.
Brown is a devoted family man and is a member of Flipper
Chapel AME Church, where he previously served as a Steward
and leader of its Annual Family and Friends Day Program.
