Melanie A. Holmes, Paralegal, B.S. in Business Economics, Florida A & M University

Ms. Holmes initially joined the firm of Thomas J. Brown, Esquire, Sole Practitioner, in 1990.  Following a leave of absence to concentrate on her education, Ms. Holmes returned to Brown and Brown Attorneys at Law, P.A. in 1994.  Ms. Holmes’ past work experience includes employment as a Tax Specialist and a Customer Service Representative. Additionally, she is a strong advocate for Persons with Disabilities, speaking frequently to members of various organizations regarding improvements for such individuals. She earned a B.S. in Business Economics from Florida A&M University’s College of Arts and Science in 1998. Ms. Holmes is a licensed Limited Surety Agent and holds a certificate in Certified Nursing Assistance. She is currently a Paralegal for Brown and Brown Attorneys at Law, P.A., handling all aspects of personal injury claims as well as and handling the firm’s daily accounting needs.

 

Lillian L. Brown
Office Manager

Mrs. Brown, a native Floridian, is the first to greet potential clients at Brown and Brown Attorneys at Law, P.A. She started with the firm on July 30, 1990 and has over 15 years experience in the legal field.  She is s graduate of Wakulla County High School who also received her Secretary/Clerk Typist Certificate from Wakulla County School Board Adult & Community Education.  Mrs. Brown handles the many daily clerical and administrative duties for the firm, inclusive of the initial opening and investigating of all potential claims.

 

Rosalind D. Wynn, Paralegal, B. A. English, Florida A & M University

Ms. Wynn joined the firm of Brown and Brown Attorneys at Law, P.A. in 1999. Her prior work experience is inclusive of Retail Management and Educating special need students in the private sector. She earned a B. A. in English from Florida & M University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, in 1998. Ms. Wynn is a paralegal and assists the attorneys with investigating and settling Personal Injury and Wrongful Death claims.

 

Mary Brown Silva, Legal Assistant, Juris Doctorate, University of Florida Law School 

Mary Brown Silva, a native of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, joined the firm in January 2002.  Mary received her undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Social Science with minors in Business and Sociology in 1993 and a Masters in Public Administration with a Court Justice Concentration in 1995 from Troy State University, the Florida Region. She received her J.D. (Juris Doctorate/Law Degree) from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida in December, 1998.  Mrs. Silva’s prior work experience includes Retail Sales Management; Substitute Teaching in Alachua County, Florida; and working for the State Department of Juvenile Justice with the Children In Need of Services / Families In Need of Services (CINS/FINS) project. She handles Paralegal duties at Brown and Brown Attorneys at Law, P.A. as well as functioning in the capacity of the firm’s Administrator.
